Affidavits of Support or Residency
Affidavits of Support or Residency are required EVERY YEAR to renew your eligibility. Please be sure to print, complete, and have them notarized. Both affidavits can be found under Resources at the bottom of this page.
Necessary documentation for affidavit completion:
- Original Affidavit
- Copy of lease or mortgage
- 2 proofs of residency in homeowner/leaseholder's name (example: light bill, utility bill, cable bill)
NOTE: Both the parent/guardian AND the person living in the district need to be present at the notary
The district offers opportunities for families to get documentation notarized free of charge.
- Failure to renew affidavits can lead to the student being unenrolled from the district.
- Official deadline will be announced; however, plan for a late October/early November timeline.
- Please start gathering and preparing documentation NOW. You can renew the affidavits beginning July 1st.
- If you are unsure whether your child is enrolled under an affidavit, or if you have other circumstances that may qualify for McKinney Vento, please reach out to your school counselor or principal.
