Assessment
The Pennsylvania Assessment and Accountability System applies to all public schools and districts. It is based upon the State’s content and achievement standards, valid and reliable measures of academic achievement, and other key indicators of school and district performance such as attendance and graduation rates. The Pennsylvania Assessment and Accountability System meets the requirements of the new Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). The State's new ESSA Plan maintains that the PSSA and Keystone assessments are well aligned with the state’s college and career ready standards, and ensure consistent learning targets for students. In accordance with EASD Policy #127, the district has organized a series of assessments to prepare students for state testing and ensure that the state standards are being realized in every classroom. Below are the assessment calendars for the various schools in the Easton Area School District, along with information about the major assessments administered within each building.
