Accredited by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, the Easton Area School District provides quality education for more than 9200 students from five municipalities with a wide socio-economic range.
Set in suburban Forks Township, Easton Area Middle School 7/8 is comprised of approximately 1,350 7th and 8th grade students within the Easton Area School District. The population is racially and culturally diverse, with student representation of 56% Caucasian, 20% Hispanic, 17% African-American, 4% Asian, 2% Multi-Racial and 1% other.
The school is led by Building Principal, Dr. Charlene Symia, 8th Grade Principal, Ms. Elise Martin, and 7th Grade Principal, Mr. George Apostol. The mission of Easton Area Middle School 7/8 is to prepare students for life’s journey in a 21st century society.

Effective Thursday, June 18, 2015, the summer hours of operation are from 7:30 am - 3:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 am - 11:00 am on Fridays. Currently the school is open from 7:30 am - 3:00 pm daily.
Effective Monday, June 22,2015, Dr. Charlene Symia will become the new Building Principal of EAMS 5-8.
The 2015-16 school year will begin on Monday, August 31st, 2015.
