EAHS Student Assistant Program (SAP)

The Student Assistance Program is a way to identify at-risk students who are having problems in school and to refer them for help. This is an intervention, not a treatment. The heart of the program is a core group of trained school personnel.

9th Orientation

As the summer months quickly come to a close, I hope that you and your family are having a safe and enjoyable summer. I would like to welcome your son/daughter to Easton Area High School, and assist in making a smooth transition from middle school. Thus, I have arranged two freshmen orientations. The orientations will be held on Thursday, August 4th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and on Wednesday, August 10th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. You and your child may attend either orientation, as the information will be the same. Both orientations will be held in the EAHS auditorium.

Upon arrival, your son/daughter will receive their schedule for the 2016-2017 school year. Please note that the process of creating student schedules over the summer months is a work in progress. The schedule your child receives is tentative and the schedule may change in the next few weeks prior to the beginning of the school year.

In order to ensure a smooth transition from middle school to high school, the orientation will include a brief presentation of pertinent information related to the high school. Your son/daughter will also have the opportunity to meet administration, the 9 th grade guidance counselors, and tour the building. I strongly encourage you and your child to attend this orientation so they can find their classrooms prior to the first day of school. Members of the Easton Area High School Student Council will be present to assist in directing students to their classes. I hope to meet you and your child at one of the two orientation days scheduled.
