The Easton Area School District is pleased to announce

the release of Single Sign-On for the Parent Portal of PowerSchool!

This latest feature will allow parents and guardians to have one login for multiple students for whom they have legal and parental rights. Each parent can have a unique login, provided he/she has a unique email address. Users will also be able to auto-recover their login information if they forget their username and/or password. This functionality is available only for parents. Students will continue to use their current ID and Password.

Beginning on August 8, you will need to create your own username and password to the Parent Portal using your child(ren)'s Access ID and Password. The Access ID and password is the username and password that you used to sign onto the Parent Portal in the past. Access IDs and Passwords will now be case-sensitive.

IMPORTANT: ALL PARENTS MUST NOW CREATE A NEW POWERSCHOOL ACCOUNT

  1. Previous IDs and passwords are required for account creation, but they will not allow you to login directly.

  2. When creating the account, you must enter the parent ID and password. Not the student username and password.

  3. If you have lost/forgotten your parent ID and password or if you are having trouble creating your account,
please email poweradmin@eastonsd.org with your name and child’s name.

  4. Students will continue to use their previous ID and password, but it is now case-senstive and they must login on the parent sign-in page.

Student Fines or Outstanding Issues

Easton Area High School and Easton Area Middle School grades 5-8 have adopted a policy whereby if a student has a fine or other outstanding issue, parent access for that student will be denied until the issue is resolved. With parent single sign-on access, you will still be able to login but you will no longer have access to view your child’s access. (See example >)

Contact your child’s grade level office directly if you have questions regarding this policy. The technology department will not reinstate access.

Student Schedules - Summer Months

The building of student schedules over the summer months are a work in progress. Although you may view your child's schedule during this process, please be advised that student schedules may change as they are continuously being modified over the summer. Beginning in the 2011-2012 school year, the Easton Area High School will be using scheduling software outside of PowerSchool. As changes are made to student schedules, they will not be immediately viewable by parents. Please allow at least one week for changes to appear.
