Easton Area School District

When spring was just a thought in everyone’s mind Mrs. Biggs, School Nurse and Mrs. Scheetz, School Secretary organized and took orders for the American Cancer Society’s annual DAFFODIL DAYS.  Twenty-four orders were placed totaling $671.25.

On March 18th when so many were looking for signs of spring DAFFODIL DAYS arrived with boxes full of the orders.  “The daffodil is the first flower of spring and is the symbol of hope, a hope that a cure for cancer will be found in your lifetime.” Carol De Mets, Schools Coordinator wrote in her letter.

Thank you to Mrs. Biggs and Mrs. Scheetz for organizing this event at Ada B. Cheston Elementary School for the 9th year.  Thank you also to those who generously supported DAFFODIL DAYS, which raised $52,1138 last year in Lehigh Valley Schools.

Tracy Technology Updates

Natural Disaster Podcasts

Students in Mr. Boandl's 3rd grade class created informational podcasts on natural disasters.
With the help of Mr. Durie, students worked together using the MacBooks to research a natural
disaster. Students created written scripts with the information they researched. Using the
program Garageband students recorded their voices as they began to make their podcast. In
addition students added sound effects, music and pictures they designed to their podcast.
Listen to this great podcast on earthquakes. All of the podcasts can be found on the Tracy
Podcasting page below.
