EAHS STUDENTS ADVANCE TO NEXT LEVEL OF COMPETITION


Several TSA(Technology Student Association) EAHS Technology Education Dept (Energy, Power, & Transportation, Pre-Engineering, & Manufacturing)  students competed, placed, & qualified at a regional competition at Strayer Middle School in Quakertown, Pa.  Students will be competing in Seven Springs, Pa April 15-18th.

NEWS from Team 7-5    


Students in Mrs. Childs’ Social Studies classes are exploring the geography of Africa by going on virtual field trips and through interactive Key Note presentations.  Mrs. Blake’s math students are working towards full program completion of Study Island.  Mrs. Kinney’s English classes are working on Subjects and Predicates to improve upon their sentence fluency.  Miss. Kurylaks’s students are currently working on the Africa unit.  Periods 1 and 2 of Mrs. Coon’s reading classes are reading about black history.  The other three classes are doing oral presentation.  All reading students are working towards completing Study Island.  In Miss Gardner’s science classes, students are beginning the bacteria unit, in which they will be learning the structure of bacteria, as well as, diseases caused by them. 

Tracy School AFG Update


On Friday, February 13, 2009, during in-service time, the staff at Tracy Elementary met to discuss the progress of the AFG committees.  All of our committees worked to review the plans currently in place. We discussed specific goals and completed activities to improve Tracy Elementary School.  Specific commendations were noted and recommendations were discussed.  On March 19, 2009, the implementation team will meet to further discuss these plans.  If you are a parent or community member who would like to be a part of this process, please contact Mrs. Allison Dolak or  Mrs. Karen Pasquel, at Tracy Elementary School

Team 8-2 Update
(Team OMEGA)

In Mrs. Barber’s Math class, students are reviewing for the PSSA which is coming up the week of March 16th.  In Ms. Boyer’s English class, students are studying writers who have become agents of change.  GO TEAM!

News from Team 7-1:  The Fire Breathing Rubber Duckies


Mr. Altimare's Classes are celebrating Black History Month with our study of African History as well as the slave trade and African American History.


Mrs. Rittenhouse’s classes are learning about the Classification of Living Organisms.


Mr. Lucchetti's classes are working on persuasive writing and studying propaganda techniques as used in television commercials.


Ms. Shipley's classes are gearing up for PSSAs.  We have completed 91% of Study Island with 83% accuracy!  We have worked very hard and are sprinting to the finish line as we work toward that 100% completion! Great Job, Students of Team Fire-Breathing Rubber Duckies! 


Mr. Woodring's math class finished taking the 4th 4-Sight test this past week. 74% of students on team 7-1 scored proficient or advanced on the test! Students are also 93% complete with the Study Island math program and plan to reach 100% by the time of PSSAs. This week, Academic and Essentials classes will be finishing up the last of the PSSA anchors by covering Making Predictions and Slope. Honors classes are working on area and volume.
