Walking works of Art

Easton Area High School Students and Philipsburg High School Students attending the Lafayette College Art Experience Program created a “Wearable Art” fashion exhibit.  Each student was responsible for creating an artistic statement that would convey a message using a bolt of flocked paper and other found materials.  Students chose music to enhance their ideas, and had a one-minute walk down the “runway”.

Parents, friends and  the Express Times enjoyed the event coordinated by Jim Tioa, Lafayette College, Bob Jolie, Philipsburg High School and Candy Miskevich, Easton High School.  The event ended with small reception, where students explained their artistic process.

Good Samaritan Project

In November, EAMS staff and students contributed 44 boxes for the Good Samaritan Project.  These boxes were filled with small gifts and sent throughout the World, including the United States, to children in need.

In December, the Ensuring Success Team organized donations to give to EAMS families for the holidays.  Our EAMS staff and their families and friends provided food baskets, hams, turkeys, gifts and gift cards for 22 of our EAMS student families.

Together we have made a difference in the lives of many!  Thank you to everyone who contributed to both projects.
