This Friday Night is the F. A. March School Art Show at March School, From 6:00-7:30.
Come check out the students artwork and the 4th graders' claymation movies on the big screen.
Claymation is the art of making clay figures move, talk, sing, dance,
or whatever your imagination wants it to do!
4th graders at F. A. March Elementary School worked with a partner to
create claymations. Here are the steps they followed:
1.Create a storyboard that includes a character, setting and
action.
2.Build a character from Modeling Clay. Design a setting.
3.Take 3-5 still photographs, moving the character a little
bit.
4. Use iMovie to add titles, animation and sound.
The Claymations can also be viewed at:

Gee Force Versus G-Force
As a culminating activity for the science unit in forces and motion, Mrs. Gee’s third grade class at Palmer Elementary designed and built roller coasters. Each group of students used pipe insulation connected by masking tape to construct their designs that included at least one loop. The students tested their structures with model cars and marbles. Each group studied and summarized the motion of the cars, measured distances, and interpreted the data.
4th Grade News from Palmer
As a fourth grade, we have successfully completed our mural in the 4th grade hallway. We are currently preparing for the Science PSSA next week and are looking forward to our many activities that are coming up in May. We are going on a field trip to Quiet Valley, training for our Track and Field Meet, anxiously awaiting our visit to the Middle School, preparing for our orchestra and chorus concerts, and eagerly anticipating our 4th grade Send-Off. Fourth marking period is an action packed time that is going to fly by and before we know it our 4th graders will be 5th graders.
