Palmer Teacher of the Month
Ms. Judy Paukovitch, Palmer first grade teacher, was B104’s Teacher of the Month for January. On Friday the 25th, hosts Cramer and Kelly and the B104 Bee, treated her class to a pizza party. Ms. Paukovitch also received a plaque, T-shirts and a spa package gift certificate. Parent Tina Sterner, who nominated Ms. Paukovitch, said that she really motivates her students to learn. On Tuesday, February 5th, starting at the 100th minute of the 100th day of school, all Palmer students and staff did 100 exercises. Miss Weller, Physical Education teacher, announced the exercises and everyone did them in the halls and classrooms. This was just one of our 100 Days of of School activities. Palmer Celebrates 100 Days of School
Kasey and Jennyfer, both Art 1 students from Easton Area High School, received award certificates on Feb. 3, 2008 at the Regional Scholastic Art Awards ceremony at Symphony Hall in Allentown. Kasey was awarded a Silver Key award for her painting, Summer Blossom. Jennyfer was awarded an Honorable Mention in mixed media for her cut paper silhouette, Mother Earth. A reception and exhibition of selected winning works was held after the awards ceremony at the Allentown Art Museum. The students’ works will be exhibited at the museum through Feb. 10, 2008. The National Scholastic Art and Writing Competition is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious art and writing competition. It is the most comprehensive authentic assessment of visual and literary arts achievement from secondary education in the country. Congratulations Kasey and Jennyfer!

The students are learning about internet safety by playing an interactive game called "Missing". The students play the game by writing down clues, solving puzzles and playing games in order to find the whereabouts of a 13 year old boy is missing. This CSI type game is extremely powerful in teaching the students on what NOT to reveal on the internet and the consequences on what could happen if they do.
