Our vision:
Creating a compassionate community where all children and families have the opportunity to achieve academic and personal success.

Our mission:
Family Connection is a catalyst for change within families, schools, and the community. Through a team approach that includes families, the Easton Area School District, and community organizations, we improve academic performance, the quality of life, and the strength of our community.

History:
In 1998, community service providers and parents living on Easton’s southside formed Family Connection through an initiative sponsored by the Lehigh Valley Council and funded through the Family Services System Reform (FSSR) program. Over the next year, the group created a plan that outlines the actions the organization would take in community building and strengthening school and parent relationships. Through assistance from Shiloh Community Services and the Easton Area School District, this grassroots program grew to provide support services to families in three of Easton’s six elementary schools. Acting as a bridge builder, the Family Connection board and staff have since leveraged partnerships in which a variety of organizations join forces with schools to create an enriched range of activities, support and opportunities to enhance student learning, and stronger families and communities.
