Journals

The following is the format for citing journal articles. 

In standard  MLA Format, the information should appear as follows.

** Citation in text appears in Grey following the Works Cited Notation**

Journals are periodicals published for a professional or specialized audience. Omit an introductory article (the, a, an) in journal titles.

With continuous pagination (paginated by volume):

Last Name, First Name.  “Title of the Article.”  Journal Title Volume # (year of publication): page #’s.

Horvitz, Deborah.  "Nameless Ghosts: Possession and Disposssession in Beloved."  Studies in American Fiction 17 (1989): 157-67.

Paginated by issue:

Last Name, First.  “Title of the Article.”  Journal Title Vol#.Issue# (year of publ.): pg #’s.
