Assessment

The Pennsylvania Assessment and Accountability System applies to all public schools and districts. It is based upon the State’s content and achievement standards, valid and reliable measures of academic achievement, and other key indicators of school and district performance such as attendance and graduation rates. The Pennsylvania Assessment and Accountability System meets the requirements of the federal No Child Left Behind legislation and has the same end goal – that is, ensuring that every child in the Commonwealth is proficient or above in reading, language arts and mathematics. 

 In accordance with EASD policy #127, the district has organized a series of assessments to prepare students for state testing and ensure that the state standards are being realized in every classroom.  Below are the assessment calendars for the various schools in the Easton Area School District along with information about the major assessments administered within each building.
