The district paid a one time purchase price for PowerSchool. We looked at a number of student management systems and over 30 EASD professionals, which included the superintendent, teachers, principals, guidance counselors, secretaries, attendance paras and others, picked this system over the others for ease of use and its home to school parent communication piece. We pay a yearly maintenance fee which is exactly equal to what we paid for maintenance for the previous older system. We do not get any money from anyone for using the product. That would be illegal.
